Just saw an Interview of Keisuke Honda, one of the most famous Japanese football players.

本田圭佑のインタビューを見たところで、面白いコメントがありました：

Keisuke Honda:

"I'm Japanese, even though Japanese people say I don't look like a typical Japanese guy. (snip) But when it comes to individuality, like every Japanese person, I have a problem, I'm lacking it. And if you want to become one of the best, you need to prove yourself as an individual. Not only as a member of a team. I have enough self confidence to believe that once I would be able to show results, good enough, for Real Madrid" (Direct Quote)

Other points that stood up to me:

• Appearance is important for me. When people see me, I want people to want to become like me.
• I don't want to become David Beckham, I want the world to look at me.

No, I like having fun, but I think that if you're planing on joining a big club in the future, I think you need to sacrifice a lot... including the night life, obviously. I think you should be able to sacrifice whatever it takes to join a big club. That's the main reason for my behavior. I'm a simple guy, and for football, I'm willing to sacrifice anything. その他、ちょっと気になった箇所（面倒なので僕で訳してしまいます）：

• ファッション、見た目というのはとても大事。一流のサッカー選手は、一流のかっこ良さを備えていてこそ、ロールモデルになれるのだと思う。
• ベッカムに影響を受けたと言われる事もあるが、僕らしさを世界に認めて欲しいと思う。
• サッカーの為には、あらゆる物を犠牲にしなければならない。もちろん、夜遊びも含めて。自分は単純な人間だから、ビッグクラブに入るために、何でも犠牲にする覚悟が自分にはある。

ちょっと参考になる点が多かったので、アップします。
